Subscription & Billing

01Is Equal AI a paid app?

Yes, Equal AI is a paid app — an active subscription is required to use the AI Assistant. However, every new user gets a 1-week trial without any charges to experience the full app before deciding whether to continue.

02How does the 1 week free trial work?

When you sign up you get 1 week of trial access to all features. You'll need to add a payment method via your Apple ID (in-app purchase), but you won't be charged during the trial period.

03Will I have access if I cancel during the 7-day trial?

Yes — you'll have access until the 7-day trial ends. After that the subscription won't renew and you'll lose access to the assistant.

04How will I be charged?

Subscriptions are purchased within the app as an in-app purchase through your Apple ID via the App Store. All payments are handled securely by Apple. Your subscription auto-renews — to avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current billing period ends.

05Why does my statement show APPLE.COM/BILL and not Equal AI?

Apple is the payment processor for all Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions, so any Equal AI charge appears as APPLE.COM/BILL on your statement. Check iPhone Settings -> your name -> Subscriptions to confirm your active Equal AI subscription.

06What payment methods are supported?

On iPhone, subscriptions are paid via UPI Autopay (a recurring mandate on your UPI app) or your Apple Account balance. Netbanking can top up your Apple Account balance but cannot pay for subscriptions directly.

07I'm stuck on the payment screen — what should I do?

Sometimes Apple takes a moment to confirm payment. Wait a few seconds then close and reopen the app, check your internet connection, go to the Paywall or Plan details screen and tap Restore purchases, and check iPhone Settings -> your name -> Subscriptions to see if your subscription is active. If you were charged but still don't have access, contact the Help Center — don't reattempt payment before checking, or you may be charged twice.

08How can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple — Equal AI cannot process or approve them. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. If Apple approves, your premium access is removed and you receive the refund.

09How do I see my plan details?

Home screen -> Settings -> tap your plan card -> Manage plan. You can view plan status, days remaining, and renewal date. You can also see this in your Apple account.

10How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple.
To cancel: iPhone Settings -> tap your name -> Subscriptions -> Equal AI -> Cancel subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or next billing cycle to avoid being charged. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

11How do I renew an expired or cancelled plan?

Tap the Renew banner on the home screen, or go to Settings -> plan card -> Renew. You'll be guided through payment via Apple.

12What happens when my subscription expires?

The AI Assistant stops handling your calls. You'll see a banner on the home screen, and can find plan details and the renew option on the Settings page. Your past conversations and data remain accessible.

13Can I restore my plan on a new device or after reinstalling?

Yes. Use Restore purchases: open the app -> Paywall or Plan details screen -> tap Restore purchases. Apple will restore your subscription if an active purchase is linked to your Apple ID.

14Can I restore even with a different phone number?

Yes. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not your phone number. As long as you sign in with the same Apple ID, you can restore the same purchase — even on a different phone number or device.

15I paid but my premium access isn't showing — what do I do?

First try Restore purchases: open the app -> Paywall or Plan details screen -> tap Restore purchases. If that doesn't work, contact the Help Center with your account details.

16'Restore purchases' says no previous purchases found — what now?

This usually means there's no active subscription linked to your current Apple ID. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If it continues, reach out to the Help Center.

17I think I was charged on the wrong Apple ID — what do I do?

Subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID used at purchase. If you believe a charge was made on the wrong account, contact the Help Center with your details and we'll help where we can.
