Setup & Activation

Download Equal AI from the App Store -> enter mobile number and Send OTP -> Verify -> enter name and gender -> grant permissions -> experience a demo call -> choose plan and start with 1-week free trial -> turn Live Voicemail OFF and set Silence Unknown Callers to Never -> activate call forwarding by dialing the codes -> you are all set

Ensure you have a stable network connection, wait a few minutes and request the OTP again. If it persists, try restarting your device or check if SMS services are active on your number.

During setup the app shows the forwarding codes — dial each one (when busy, when unanswered, when unreachable) from your dialer. If you skipped it during onboarding/failed to setup properly, login again to setup properly.

Equal AI uses three types of forwarding so no call is missed: when busy (you're on another call), when unanswered (you decline or don't pick up), and when unreachable (phone off or no network). Dialing all three ensures every incoming call you don't take is handled by your assistant.

These iPhone features can interfere with Equal AI. Live Voicemail can pick up calls before the assistant gets a chance; Silence Unknown Callers sends unknown numbers straight to voicemail, bypassing your assistant. Turning these off ensures your assistant can answer calls properly.

Live Voicemail: iPhone Settings -> Apps -> Phone -> Live Voicemail -> Toggle OFF.
Silence Unknown Callers: iPhone Settings -> Apps -> Phone -> Silence Unknown Callers -> Select Never.

No, the number you register with must be the same number you activate the assistant on (one which is there in your phone). You cannot set up the assistant on a different line.

Yes, Open the Home Screen of the app -> Settings -> Personal Details -> edit your name and gender, then save.
